Don’t expect your coach to necessarily be an expert in your area of expertise. Rather, expect them to be experts in the human development process. Meet with your coach to make certain you feel comfortable, and if you do not, then find another resource. Ask for references and about how long they have been in practice. The chemistry between the two of you must support your goals. Finally, follow up with references and credentials. Picking the right coach will be one of the more important decisions you make for the benefit of your career, organization, and life, so take time to make sure that you will get the leverage you expect. |

After you’ve experienced what NLP for yourself, it’s natural to want to help the people closest to you with NLP! Working with family members and close friends can be extremely rewarding, and it also has its own set of challenges and rewards.
In this 6-evening series, Keith Fail and Katie Raver will guide you to explore and practice:
- Using NLP conversationally, instead of in a therapeutic context.
- Strategies for long-term rapport, for when you know you’ll be sitting across from this person at breakfast or holidays for many years to come.
- Specific strategies for working with kids and grandkids, teens, siblings and long-term roommates, parents, and your spouses.
- Focus on exercises, practice, and role-playing real-life scenarios.
- Navigating the big things, such as long-term health issues and habitual family patterns.
- When NOT to use NLP with your family.
